Forming a New Section
For forming a national section in a country, the number of members in that country should be at least 100. Upon reaching this limit, the Society will organize the first election for appointing the first chair of the corresponding local section.
In the United States, local sections will be formed for each State.
For forming a student chapter, ten student members form a university or universities in a city can request for the formation of a student chapter. The first officers can be selected by the initial founders or by an election organized by the Society. Subsequent officers must be appointed by elections.
The students need to submit an official support letter by the host university. This letter can be signed by any of the University senior managers (such as Deans, Vice Presidents, Provost, or President).
