Job Description
The Transportation Technology Associate Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering key Transportation AOP Technology projects while supporting the sustainment of current transportation technology. The position currently manages direct reports and is responsible for PMP, career growth, and training of those employees. The position is geared toward project management, while being a SME in supported applications. A person who is naturally intuitive and curious at solving problems and able to present them to different levels can thrive at this position.
Lead multiple projects that deliver in annual Technology AOP Investments
Efficiently handle multiple avenues of requests / support through calls, emails, IMs, ad-hoc requests, etc. while prioritizing level of urgency and completion
Provide subject matter expert support for various transportation systems & business innovation initiatives
Technical Leadership - Partner with third-party vendors, IT, and development to identify, develop, and implement new technology, manage end-to-end testing, engage users, conduct research, develop prototypes, and provide recommendations to ensure business goals are met
Business Leadership - Partner with Brokerage Ops, Finance, PepsiCo IT, External IT, NetOps, NANO, etc. to deliver transportation technology solutions that improve user efficiency, safety, reliability, and enable growth
Responsible for designing & documenting business requirements for system enhancements & new development, project & timeline management, system testing, training, design, development, and on-going operations support
Responsible for sustaining and supporting several Transportation Applications
Accountable for enhancing user performance by piloting and implementing go-live strategies before rolling out technologies
Clearly and concisely communicate project status and updates across the organization
Research technical issues to resolve and/or assign to appropriate teams for resolution and drive resolution with those teams
Scope of Interactions:
40% External – Develop and build relationships with current and new vendors.
60% Internal - Collaboration with business development, operations, legal, and procurement
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree: Business Administration, Information Systems or Logistics
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize resources and competing priorities to meet business objectives
Project Management Experience; Agile, Waterfall Methodology, etc
Demonstrate cross-functional leadership capability and collaboration to solve problems
Knowledge of Transportation Systems
Ability to evaluate & optimize technical solutions through critical thinking, strong analytical skills, and a logic and data-based approach to decision making
Ability to present/speak effectively to different levels of the organization and lead large meetings
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
Preferred candidate Experiences / Knowledge:
Understanding of databases SQL / Oracle and ability to query
Requirement to be able to learn and utilize to research issues
Understanding of system architecture, design, and integrations
Experience in Tableau or other reporting platforms
Experience with coding / robotic process automation
Experience managing direct reports
