Detailed Job Description
The Department of Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications from candidates in the area of analog & mixed signal integrated circuits and systems. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Electrical, Microelectronic and/or Computer Engineering or a closely related field. The candidates' research must specialize in analog & mixed signal integrated circuits and systems, with a record of referred publication in the area. Candidates must have prior teaching experience; a potential for establishing and conducting sponsored research; excellent written and oral communication skills; and ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the university's continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism and individual differences. Faculty responsibilities include teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, conducting sponsored research programs, and providing service to the university community.

Department/College Description
Serving approximately 3500 students, the Kate Gleason College of Engineering offers 7 bachelor, 12 masters and 5 doctoral degree programs in biomedical, chemical, computer, electrical, industrial, mechanical, microelectronic and microsystems engineering. All undergraduate programs are designed to be completed in five years, including one year of cooperative education. The Department of Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering offers preeminent bachelors and masters level programs in electrical engineering and microelectronic engineering to approximately 600 undergraduate and 125 graduate students. Faculty and staff include 23 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, six lecturers, four support staff, and three academic advisors. In addition to teaching within the department, faculty conduct research and advise doctoral students in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Microsystems Engineering, Imaging Science, Computer and Information Sciences, and Sustainability. Faculty research expertise includes digital and computer systems, robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, biomedical devices, communications, controls, integrated devices/circuits, MEMs, electromagnetic fields, semiconductor electronics, photonics/optoelectronics and signal/image/video processing. Researchers have access to exceptional laboratory resources for design and simulation of electronic/photonic circuits and systems, and a state of the art microfabrication clean room facility that supports materials and processes for micro/nano devices. Research expenditures average approximately $3.5M annually. PhD. in Electrical, Microelectronic and/or Computer Engineering or a closely related field. Refereed publications in the area of analog & mixed signal integrated circuits and systems. Ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the colleges continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.
