You will be a part of the Hematology Algorithms & Data Analytics team and report to the Director of Hematology, responsible for current on-market instrument support and new product advancements in the area of deep learning, ML, data algorithm development. Data management is the practice of managing data as a valuable resource to unlock its potential for our organization. Managing data effectively requires having a data strategy and reliable methods to access, integrate, cleanse, govern, store and prepare data for analytics. Your role as the lead for data management will be to establish and institutionalize these strategies to ensure proper data controls, execution.
We are open to remote work from any continental U.S based major city with access to an international airport.

In this role, you will have the following opportunities, but are not limited to:

Acquisition and preparation of image data for AI, ML use.

Initiate the design, development of data architecture, configuration, and analytic technologies that will allow our team to store (short and long-term), visualize, show workflow, use version control, integrate heterogeneous data, capture metadata, and ensure system compatibilities

Core tasks: building databases, uploading data to these data stores, creating backup and historical copies of files, and providing "permissions" to others in the organization

Data management is also involved in things like "data cleaning" (that is, to prepare data for inclusion in databases) and ETL (extract/transform/load) tasks that "surface" data to other users in the organization

Utilize tools such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, etc.to develop data assets that support organizational decision making via prototyping, data discovery, data munging, etc.

Drive innovation of new hematological parameters based on data pattern discoveries

Comply with the design, development, configuration management / controls process documentation as well as all the regulatory aspects of a medical software device

Interface with other functional development and customer support teams to contribute in all aspect of product improvement

The essential requirements of the job include:
Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics, statistical genetics, imaging science, computational biology, computer science, applied mathematics, applied physics or similar) or equivalent practical experience

Experience in data infrastructure design and development; experience in working with large-scale unstructured datasets: time series, geospatial (vector and raster), images, and video streams.

Experience developing, training, and evaluating tradition machine algorithms such as PCA, SVM, Random Forests, and Gradient Boosting

Familiar with NVIDIA deep learning ecosystem including CUDA, GPU compute as well as Jetson Nano and Quadro GPU hardware

8 years or more experience

Technical writing of design documents

Fundamentals of Data Science

Data manipulation and analysis

Software engineering

Image processing/Computer vision

Problem-solving skills

Critical thinking

It would be a plus if you also possess:
Experience working with Docker containers and cloud-based compute environments

Experience with other tools, environments: Git, Microsoft Azure, AWS

Experience in hematology domain
