Scientist- Bioscience Oncology (Lab Based)

Main Responsibilities


You will work in a laboratory within the Oncology Research group designing, conducting and analyzing in vitro and in vivo experiments to assess the function of our candidate oncology drugs and dissect the mechanism of action of novel therapeutics. You will also review emerging literature and internal data to identify new targets and contribute to target validation activities.


Essential Requirements


Bachelor’s or advanced degree in tumor biology or a related field Depth of understanding for hematology cancer models as well as solid tumor models Experience with a range of in vitro skills for the analysis of human tumor cell function (e.g. cell culture, cell signaling bioassays, high-content imaging, and cell death measurement in primary and cell line cultures) Experience conducting multi-spectral flow cytometry and visualizing/quantitating high content multi-parameter flow data Molecular biology skills including assessment of intracellular signaling and generation of engineered cell lines, generating and/or analyzing transcriptomic data Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills together with evidence of having used these to support problem solving and delivery in a collaborative environment.

Desirable Requirements


Experience in the evaluation of immune function and in the application of complex immunological assays Experience working with cell death modulating agents, with biologics including antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates and evaluation of transcriptomic datasets Familiarity with nano-medicine drug delivery Knowledge of the drug discovery process and publications in credible scientific journals
