Electrical Engineer I and II

Summary:
This position is responsible for performing electrical engineering design and test for
multiple airborne Aerospace avionics, Li-Ion battery and small satellite projects

Responsibilities:


Design, layout and test electrical printed circuit boards Unit design and electrical layout, Processor/Com Port integration and test Provide schedule input to program manager Space environmental testing (thermal cycle, vibration, shock, EMI, etc.) Write engineering documentation to meet customer design requirements


Required Competencies:
Experience
• 1-5 years of experience in the following areas: electronics design, embedded


software engineering, systems engineering, and analysis and interpretation of physical
phenomena or engineering data.



Technical Skills


Proficient in all phases of engineering development (requirements, design, test and production) PCB Layout and Design with Eagle and/or Orcad Electronics Design Simulation and Modeling Solid Works for electrical and mechanical drawings Avionics and power system expertise FPGA and Microcontroller (PIC, etc.) and embedded software


Soft Skills


Strong interpersonal skills Work in an engineering team to reach the next level of excellence Ability to write technical documents and procedures


Education


B.S. Electrical and/or Computer Engineering (M.S. preferred)
Desired Competencies:
Technical Skills Experience in electronics and software embedded system development Solid Works for electrical and mechanical drawings Exposure to embedded software microcontroller programming Communication Ports (RS-232/422/485, CAN, Ethernet, 1553, etc.) Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel, Visio and Sharepoint)
Personal Requirements
Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to be part of an innovative team

that designs and manufactures state-of-the-art avionics, power and nano/micro
satellites. Put your skills to work and develop innovative products for Space launch
vehicles and small satellites.


ITAR Requirements
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a
U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by
ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S.

Salary Range based on experience: $65,000 to $95,000
