Lead Product Manager and Product Owner, Maximo Visual Inspection

Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Maximo is a market-leading and fully integrated platform that uses advanced analytic tools and IoT data to improve operational availability and quality of manufactured products. For leading enterprise companies, our software is at the center of solutions that inspect for defects on manufacturing floors and monitor assets to ensure optimum productivity.

Maximo Visual Inspection (MVI) is a core element of the Maximo Application Suite (MAS), and the engine driving customer adoption of deep learning / artificial intelligence (AI) based computer vision models in to the world of Enterprise Asset Management and Asset Performance Management.

What we do and what you will do:
AI is a team sport. A typical solution with computer vision will have contributions from Image Analysts, Data Scientists and Business Users. You will develop a deep empathy for these personas by learning their requirements around labeling datasets of images/videos, training models with deep learning, deploying and maintaining solutions at the edge. Your mission is to design and deliver a self-intuitive user experience where business users can instantly recognize value in terms of speed, accuracy and cost of adoption, and you will help drive the adoption of computer vision into the intersection of information technology and operational technology. How you will do it: Bring experiences working with solutions or products engaging computer vision Bring experiences that can clearly articulate how information technology products interface with and impact the operational technology in our clients' physical environment, and can strongly advocate for ways to improve how Maximo software interfaces with OT systems to positively impact our clients' work and improve IBM's competitive position in this space Understand and practice Agile product management and the role of product owner by participating actively in design led processes, writing compelling hills, developing and prioritizing requirements, and translating them into clearly articulated, detailed user stories, and utilizing tools such as Zenhub, github and Aha Launch and manage offerings at all phases of their lifecycle Lead product teams which manage and evolve fast moving artificial intelligence platforms, incorporating computer vision Leverage your experience working with user personas and directly with clients to actively understand motivations and desired outcomes Comfortably demonstrate value of products to customers, partners and technical specialists, being hands-on with the product and participating in and responding to RFPs Develop and maintain sales kits, spelling out the functional and non-functional attributes of the product, to enable technical specialists, partners and customers Explore channels to the markets which could be developing new partnerships and/or evangelizing integrations with other products that would deliver comprehensive capabilities to our customers Practice, identify and enforce priorities based off of data Work through areas of uncertainty, coming to decisions using research, leveraging your logic and professional network Be a good teammate and leader by actively looking for ways to help and collaborate with others, acting with humility and an attitude to win as a team Adjust to changes in real-time and maintain a positive outlook Know what you need to learn and get stuff done
This role may be based in one of the following strategic locations: Austin, TX RTP, NC Littleton, MA
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Expert knowledge of deep learning, neural networks, prominent frameworks and optimization of networks for edge computing Ability to explain and differentiate between models like classification, object detection and image segmentation Expert point of view, positioning technologies used for training and inference (GPUs, NVIDIA Jetson Nano, TX2, Xavier, Movidius FPGA, AWS Panorama, mobile devices) Exposure to at least one comprehensive solution from training a model to its deployment at the edge Demonstrated leadership managing an existing AI product, with a track record of building integrations between that product and adjacent products
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Familiarity with at least one commercial computer vision product (Cognex, AWS lookout for Vision, Google Vision, etc) Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management Experience with solutions and/or technologies that scale and manage solutions at the Edge (example: MQTT, openHorizon, Edge computing with RHOS) Experience in Manufacturing or Utilities Experience and aptitude in speaking to large groups as a subject matter expert
