IT Senior Network Engineer
The IT Senior Network Engineer is responsible for supporting the Omnicell Network Infrastructure. This position is responsible for insuring the accuracy and continuity of critical network infrastructure data maintained on various 3rd party Web Portals and on several Omnicell Network Infrastructure Management Systems.
Responsibilities include maintaining the following:
Campus and Branch office’s wireless controllers and wireless access points Campus and Branch office’s physical and logical wired Layer 2 and Layer 3 switched infrastructures Periodic firmware updates on all infrastructure networking equipment Regional Datacenter facilities and logical wired Layer 2 and Layer 3 switched infrastructures DIA, MPLS, and Metro Ethernet circuits SD-WAN circuit failover and failback redundancy End-User (Employee/Contractor) VPNs and Customer/Partner VPNs Network Infrastructure monitoring and reporting Network Infrastructure WAN optimization and data deduplication Network Infrastructure application load balancing SDN micro-segmentation and application container nano-segmentation Network Infrastructure perimeter security and port security with end-user device and identity tracking Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a flexible work environment and multiple locations as needed
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Cisco Routing & Switching: DMVPN IPsec & PBR Palo Alto Firewalls Cisco Firewalls Solarwinds: NetPath & SAM Riverbed WAN Optimizers F5 Load Balancers Cisco ISE: TACACS, RADIUS, Profiling and Posturing Microsoft Azure Cloud Cisco ACI VMware NSX SD-WAN: Silverpeak, Velocloud, or Viptela SDN: Cisco ENCS
Preferred Experience:
Competent in Routing Protocols OSPF& BGP and different platforms of Cisco routers ASR1000, 7600, 7200, 3800, 2800 etc. Competent in Switching L2/L3 and different platforms of Cisco switches Nexus 2k, 5K, 6K 7K, Cat 6500, 4500, 4900, 3700, 3500 etc. Competent with troubleshooting and hands-on for routing & switching Experience in implementing and troubleshooting the following technologies: Fabric Path, Spanning Tree, MPLS, GETVPN, PBR (Policy Based Routing), QOS, Video, Unified Communications Experience with design, configuration and support of datacenter, campus and remote solutions Experience leveraging network management tools and performing packet analysis as part of incident/problem resolution CCNA, CCNP or CCIE certifications desired
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in technical aspects of switching and router implementation 7+ years of experience in an engineering capacity for a large enterprise network
