JOB TITLE: Material Handler
Summary: Material Handler is tasked with organization of components and documentation utilized in the building of customized clean water systems for customers domestic and around the world. Aqua-Chem is a team orientated work environment that encourages employee growth and innovation. Material Handler Duties:
Organize and stage both manufactured and purchased components supporting timely production flow Accountable for organization of required processing documentation Utilize drawings and other supporting documentation to identify parts and subassemblies Communicate (in verbal/written/typed forms) project status or needs in a timely and accurate fashion Operate material handling equipment (forklift/overhead crane) to maneuver parts safely into place Maintain a positive attitude that aligns with core values. Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space Adhere to work schedule. Comprehend and follow ISO procedures to ensure compliance with standard Participate in root cause analysis projects and Continuous Improvement program Perform other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on cement surfaces and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, climb ladders, and climb stairs Must be able to work in temperature ranges corresponding to the outside ambient temperatures Able to work overtime as required
Experience:
At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment At least 1 year forklift Overhead crane a plus
