Manufacturing Technician

Summary/Objective
Forge Nano Inc, a fast-growing materials company with a focus on manufacturing nano-scale coatings across a wide range of markets is seeking a detail-oriented manufacturing technician reporting to a Process Engineer. This position covers a broad range of duties, including operating equipment, logging and plotting data, filling our process documentation, and helping with facility tasks.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities


Operate in-house particle processing equipment Log data into various online systems. Load, unload, and package powders using respirator and appropriate PPE Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the production, machine shop, and warehouse areas Follow necessary documentation for procedures, processes, and best-known-methods including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and completing relevant checklists Support facility maintenance and improvements, such as hanging ductwork, routing tubing, etc. Assist in overflow assembly and wiring work Maintain a safe work environment and staying OSHA compliant with relevant safety training

Required Education and Experience


High School Diploma or Equivalent or better 4+ years industry/manufacturing relevant experience

Preferred Skills and Experience


Detail oriented Familiar with Office Products: Outlook, Excel, Word, etc. Basic knowledge of vacuum and ability to identify vacuum leaks Ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and vacuum issues Experience working in an ISO environment Experience following and/or writing work instructions and standard operating procedures Diligent organization and the ability to follow checklists exactly and completely The instinct to look for the answer and asks questions if something seems off or wrong Experience with reading SDSs and understanding hazards.

Work Environment

Work is carried out in a large technical facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee handles hazardous chemicals at times. The employee will be required to wear all appropriate safety equipment including but not limited to eye protection, gloves, steel toe shoes, lab coat, and in the plant, a hard hat. An employee in this position works in an environment in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention. Strict adherence to corporate and/or plant policies, rules and regulations in these areas is required.

The employee occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. Lifting of containers upwards of 50lbs will be required periodically.

No travel is expected to be required for this position.


Compensation


Hourly $20-25 based on experience Eligible for overtime with manager approval Medical/dental/vision/disability and life insurance, holidays, PTO, Flexible Spending Account, and 401(k) plan.
