The role
The University of Exeter is seeking to make a Chair appointment in Electrical Energy Systems within the Department of Engineering. The post will primarily support further growth of research and teaching activities in the area of net-zero electrical energy systems and smart grids at the University.
The post will be based in the Engineering department, led by Professor David Butler (www.exeter.ac.uk/engineering). Engineering currently has over 80 academic staff across our Exeter (Streatham) and Cornwall (Penryn) campuses. Academics in Streatham have particular expertise in simulation, optimisation and machine learning, water systems engineering, computational analysis, nano-engineering, vibration engineering, materials and manufacturing and biomedical engineering.
We are looking to attract an innovative researcher with a strong and current record of research funding and international quality publications. Therefore, the successful candidate will be an international leading figure in the field of Electrical Energy Systems/Smart Grids, with the ability to attract talented academics and researchers to their research group.
