Position Summary
AIChE is looking for a strong Creative Animator to join our Design team. Our Creative Animator has experience working on multiple projects advising on the best way to animate projects including educational materials. This role will collaborate regularly with several stakeholders simultaneously with direction from the Graphic Design & Marketing Manager. The role requires 2D/3D skills and someone who enhances projects because of their creative ideas helping to produce high
quality, effective training materials and other content.
Responsibilities
The individual will be responsible for designing and creating a variety of artistic media, among other tasks including but not limited to:
Create, edit, and manipulate 2D/3D models, drawings, graphics, illustrations, and animations Work with team members to receive, interpret, and negotiate content requests and produce results Read scripts and storylines to understand graphic and animation requirements Prepare presentations with raw designs to customers, team members, and SMEs Develop storyboards for the initial stages of production Participate in content editing process, if required Work with external vendors when required Work with key stakeholders and Education team to determine artistic needs of particular projects and timelines Implement/use tools to track media requests and report on results statistics Work with experts to determine what is to be learned Ensure media meets request requirements Apply quality compliance website standards and 508 accessibility when applicable
Skills
Ability to convert technical or complex information into easily understood visual content Knowledge of 2D/3D, stop motion and computer-generated animation Familiarity with eLearning platforms, standards, and practices Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing Strong active listening and decision-making skills Excellent organizational and planning skills; strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to show initiative and tackle challenges and opportunities not previously mentioned Demonstrated experience working with volunteers, faculty, and senior management Demonstrated ability to plan timelines, implement projects and complete milestones Comfortable with budget restrictions

Education & Work Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer animation, 3D/graphic design, fine arts or relevant field Familiarity with instructional design process and theories and the creation of training content and development process Proven experience in 2D/3D animation with 3-5 years of relevant work experience required; 5-7 years a plus
