Department Summary The School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) at UNTHSC has three multidisciplinary departments that include Physiology & Anatomy, Pharmacology & Neuroscience and Microbiology, Immunology & Genetics. SBS takes great pride in shaping the future of the biomedical workforce with three focus areas: education, student service and research. Our students are educators, researchers, and health care professionals of tomorrow. The research areas of SBS are diverse and include cardiovascular, neuroscience, health disparities, vision science, genetics, immunology, molecular biology, nanotechnology, pharmacology, and numerous other areas.
Position Summary This part-time, non-tenure track position within the School of Biomedical Sciences will develop and teach upper level undergraduate courses in Epidemiology/population health in an online setting.
Minimum Qualifications A Master’s degree in Public Health or closely related field with outstanding teaching experience in teaching epidemiology or related courses
Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in Public Health, Health Services, Epidemiology or a closely related field.Successful experience teaching adults in a post-secondary institutionExcellent communication skills in multicultural settingsExperience teaching and developing online coursesExperience using Canvas to deliver course content
