JOB SUMMARY
As the 'home of unique offerings' within SABIC the Specialties Strategic Business Unit is focused on challenging technology endeavors that positively impact the way the world travels, communicates, works and lives. This SBU provides unique offerings such as high heat resins, functional compounds and additives, specialty fluids, nanotechnology and thermoplastics composites to industries such as Additive Manufacturing, Consumer & Industrial, Electronics, Healthcare, Mass Transportation, Automotive and Water Management.
Job Purpose & Responsibilities
Provide operations and production leadership for the Lexan Finishing operation with approximately 100 employeesFacilitates organizational effectiveness through modeling, reinforcing and coaching teamInteracts with the business and site in setting the direction for the operating unit including operating parameters and high-level production targets and Business RulesIdentifies and communicates operating unit goals and technology plans with respect to health, safety, and environmental concerns, unit operations, and technical opportunitiesOwn the Unit Technology PlanMakes sound and timely business decisions based upon Business Technology and Unit Technology PlansDevelops and drives implementation of capital projects that support and advance Business and Unit improvement initiativesManages personal development and the development of direct reports.Sets expectations and coaches’ team to ensure that they are understood and accomplished
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
BS EngineeringAt least 15 years of experience in a process manufacturing industry. Preferably in chemical and or compounding operations.Demonstrated ability to meet program and/or operating plan metricsExtremely strong team leadership and cross-functional communication skillsExcellent analytical skillsAbility to work with high a degree of reliability and self-relianceExcellent interpersonal skills
