Position: Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering
Effective Date: August 17, 2022 (Fall Semester)
Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Required Qualifications:


Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or related areas, preferably in Neural Engineering, Bioinstrumentation, Biomedical Signal Processing, Computational Medicine, Bioinformatics, Genetic Engineering, Tissue Engineering or Nanotechnology. Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2022. Demonstrated potential for effective teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels of Biomedical Engineering Demonstrated potential for excellence in research, and other related scholarly and creative activities Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population

Preferred Qualifications:


At least two years of teaching experience in undergraduate and/or graduate level courses in Biomedical Engineering Postdoc experience in Neural Engineering, Bioinstrumentation, Biomedical Signal Processing, Computational Medicine, Bioinformatics, Genetic Engineering, Tissue Engineering or Nanotechnology

Duties:


Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and conduct laboratory experiments in Biomedical Engineering [Mode of instruction may include in-person, hybrid, online, and/or any combination thereof.] Develop and maintain curriculum Engage in ongoing research and scholarly activities that lead to publications and external funding Provide student advising and mentoring Participate in service to the department, college, university, and community
