Physics Job Summary The Department of Physics at the University of New Orleans invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor Position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics and/or Nanoscience with an appointment starting on August 1st, 2022. Job Description

The candidates must possess a PhD degree in physics or related fields. We are seeking excellent candidates with strong research record in one or more of the following areas: nanotechnology, magnetic or microwave materials, energy conversion or low-temperature physics.


The successful candidate will be teaching and developing new courses in the Department of Physics and will become a member the Advanced Materials Research Institute (AMRI) at UNO with access to the institute’s research infrastructure. The candidates should submit their cover letter, curriculum vitae with the list of publications, a statement of research and teaching and at least 3 letters of recommendation.
