The Role:
This position will be located in Norwood, MA. This role is an exciting opportunity to be a critical part of a team enabling delivery of mRNA at an organization that is radically changing the biotech industry. We are seeking a Research Associate to support respiratory delivery of mRNA in a highly interdisciplinary and dynamic environment. The position is primarily laboratory-based and offers the opportunity to develop a wide range of analytical skills and techniques. Candidates with a foundation in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, biology, or a related field are encouraged to apply.
Here's What You’ll Do:
Support technical aspects of aerosol dosing system setup, performance, maintenance and aerosol testing as preparation for and during in-life study execution of aerosol dosing to animals
Coordinate and execute testing and measurement of aerosol performance of novel formulations using inhalation devices
Characterize formulations and the aerosol using a range of analytical and biophysical techniques
Coordinate and work closely with a cross-functional team of formulation, analytical and preclinical pharmacology scientists
Coordinate and work closely with CROs executing in vivo studies
Document, analyze, interpret and present data
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
BS with 2 years of industry experience or MS in drug delivery, chemical engineering, chemistry or nanotechnology
Preference will be given to candidates with an inhalation in vivo dosing background
Strong data analysis and experimental design skills, experience with JMP a plus
Knowledge of GMP and GLP regulations
Must be curious, eager, open to learning, and independent
Flexible, self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic
Strong written and oral communication skills
Previous laboratory experience and general wet lab skills ( e.g. pipetting, weighing)
Experience with analytical techniques ( e.g. HPLC), nucleic acid delivery, and/or nanoparticle-based delivery strategies is a plus
