As a senior Android engineer at Leia, you will help bring the "Lit by Leia" user experience to new screens and devices around the world.
You will work on the highest impact project in a team of brilliant engineers like yourself. In addition to building technology, you will contribute to the high impact product and business strategy, some of your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Build features for next generation advanced chat systems and 3D media sharing architectures Write robust, efficient, and maintainable code as a member of an agile team Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to integrate backend APIs and services and build user-friendly Android interfaces Work side by side with a multi-disciplinary, diverse team to make decisions together Resolve bugs reported by the QA team in a timely manner
This position is based in our Menlo Park office and is a full-time position.
What You'll Have Expertise in Java or Kotlin with 5+ years of professional Android experience Independently build apps from scratch and ship those apps and updates to Google Play Store Highly passionate for developing scalable and performant software systems and apps Improve the performance and stability of our most critical features Some knowledge of Java, Kotlin, Dart, and/or other cross-platform frameworks to build smooth, stable, and cool 3D products Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative startup environment Self-starter with ability to learn quickly and effectively Highly motivated, team player with strong technical collaboration skills and desire to be part of a fast-moving start-up
