ABOUT OQC
At Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC) we are building quantum computers to enable life-changing discoveries: from new drug modelisation to longer-lasting battery technology and portfolio optimisation. We have launched Europe’s first Quantum Computing as a Service (QCaaS) – to bring quantum to our customers’ fingertips and help them improve their operations and trailblaze new commercial and scientific approaches.
Our team is composed of 40 people with various backgrounds in quantum physics, nanotechnologies, hardware, software and business operations from marketing to intellectual property. We are all bound by the desire to put OQC at the forefront of the quantum revolution and help solve some of the world’s most challenging problems.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our expanding Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the CTO you will be responsible for producing analytical reports within the finance and technical environments of the company. You should be able to interact and analyse with the technical team and work on existing models to ensure relevance in driving financial strategy. Understand the aaS model and how to predict profit & loss.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work on internal and external audits and analysis Provide analytical overviews of all parts of the business to drive KPIs Work on R&D projects and liaising with Tax Accountants Work on Balance Sheet Accounting Take care of other ad-hoc activities and projects as necessary Ensure we operate with a high level of financial integrity
REMUNERATION
£35,000 - £45,000 pa., based on experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
You must have the right to work in the UK (unfortunately, we will not be able to sponsor visas)
Have an Accounting, Finance or business related degree Strong technical accounting skills Strong communications skills (written and verbal) Ability to build relationships with people both face to face and remotely Excellent Google Workspace skills particularly in integrating Google sheets with Excel Self-motivated and confident dealing with individuals at all levels of the organisation A professional and mature approach and keen to make a difference Flexible & demonstrates initiative but can fully participate in a small busy team Ability to deal with a heavy workload whilst under pressure
LOCATION & TRAVEL
OQC’s office is located in Shinfield, Reading. There may be a requirement for occasional travel throughout the UK and elsewhere abroad for careers fairs.
