Job Title: Product Manager – Portable Spectroscopy

In this role you will develop and execute on the Portable Vis-NIR Spectroscopy strategic roadmap as part of our team of Product Managers at Malvern Panalytical. Bring the whole of you to work as part of this diverse and passionate team who are irresistibly drawn to hard problems others can’t crack.
You will work closely with Global Sales and Marketing, R&D (Research and Development) and Integrated Supply Chain teams, combining Voice of Customer and technology opportunities to ensure that priorities across the portfolio are balanced and aligned to meet the needs of our customers and our ambitious business goals.

What are your responsibilities?
Playing the leading role for Vis-NIR within Malvern Panalytical in a range of ways:
Working with Sales and Applications colleagues to capture Voice of Customer, build strong Customer value propositions and enable Malvern Panalytical to combine multiple points of differentiation into compelling customers offerings. Seeking out disruptive approaches and business innovations and assessing their market and business potential in contributing to Malvern Panalytical’s ambitious growth plan. Building effective go-to-market plans, including pricing, marketing plans, sales enablement tools and sales support. Working with cross-functional teams spanning the entire company to deliver solutions to market within our New Value Innovation (NVI) process.

You are focused and passionate about providing value to our customers You have significant experience in applying analytical techniques to research and/or industrial applications, especially portable and/or Vis-NIR spectroscopy You understand business dynamics and financial impacts, then develop robust project proposals and business cases You are a good analyst – assimilating a wide range of hard and soft information into actionable intelligence You are a great communicator delivering vision and clarity to a cross-functional audience You are an active listener, asking insightful questions that go beyond the known needs You bring together and motivate a team using your persuasive influencing skills You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Another language is beneficial. You are happy to travel globally to visit colleagues and customers, up to 20% of your time

You live quite close to one of our manufacturing sites, ideally Malvern, UK or Almelo, NL, as you will interact with other teams often. A hybrid remote/onsite model is anticipated.
