What’s the job?
We are looking for an experienced Software-as-a-Service Product Manager who can build and execute a compelling vision and strategy for expanding Malvern Panalytical’s software offerings.
You will work closely with Global Sales, Service, Marketing, R&D (Research and Development), IT and Supply Chain teams to build attractive value propositions for our customers, develop the (new) business models and go-to-market plans and ensure that software offerings across the portfolios are aligned to meet the needs of our customers and our ambitious business goals.

What will you be doing?
Playing the leading role for the software offerings across Malvern Panalytical products in a range of ways:
Working with Product Management, Sales, Service and Applications colleagues to capture Voice of Customer, build strong customer value propositions and enable Malvern Panalytical to combine multiple points of differentiation into compelling customer offerings. Seeking out disruptive approaches and business innovations for our currently on-premises, perpetually licensed software, enhancing customer’s productivity with targeted features, thus contributing to Malvern Panalytical’s ambitious growth plan. Working with cross-functional teams spanning the entire company to deliver common components in software.
What are your responsibilities?
Every day will be different, but these areas are where you’ll spend most of your time:
You will build and execute a compelling vision and strategy You’ll gather and curate market, customer and competitor insight Work closely with teams across the business to evaluate business attractiveness and feasibility Define and test value propositions and business models Build the business cases to obtain investments Evaluate competitive landscape to inform our commercial and development approaches You’ll develop an aggregated roadmap for SaaS, including common components of our software offerings Working collaboratively with product management to establish and deliver software roadmaps. Driving profitability and financial performance (volume, pricing and margins) Developing and reviewing KPIs of SaaS performance You’ll work with a Sales and Marketing team on Go-to-market strategies and planning Setting product pricing and positioning at launch and periodically reviewing Maintaining product configuration and quotation tooling Guiding generation of content for sales enablement assets to drive upgrades and subscriptions sales Supporting Sales and Service as the SaaS offering advocate, including training
What do you need to be successful in this role?
We are looking for an experienced Software-as-a-Service Product Manager
You are focused and passionate about providing value to our customers You have minimum of 5 years’ experience with a Cloud Native Application (SaaS) tech-provider where you have successfully managed building and monetizing customer-centric SaaS offerings Experienced in AGILE methodologies A university degree in a technical subject, especially in materials or biophysical characterization, would be a plus You are a team player who can collaborate widely and think holistically about the integration and improvements of products across all product portfolios You are a self-starter, creative and comfortable in a continuously changing environment You are a great communicator, effectively reaching a diverse, cross-functional audience with vision and clarity You bring together and motivate a team, often without direct management authority, using your persuasive influencing skills You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Another language is beneficial. You are happy to travel globally to visit colleagues and customers, up to 20% of your time Hybrid remote/onsite (Malvern, Bristol, Almelo)
