About this position:


Are you looking for a position in which you can fully exploit your commercial, technical and teamwork skills? Then this might be your chance to become a part of our innovative,strategic and enthusiastic Sales & Business Development Team in the UK.


In this role you will be responsible for the achievement of Sector targets for orders and sales and maximising financial performance within a defined territory. This will include qualification and progression of sales opportunities, preparation of quotations and proposals, performing equipment demonstrations and supporting the customer to ensure a smooth and efficient business process.


We love interacting with our customers and this should be central to the position at all times.


What are your responsibilities?


Achieve the sales target for the assigned sector within defined territory. Respond to and

follow through on enquiries, leads and prospecting.


Give customers insight into the added value of Malvern Panalytical solutions and services. Work with customers to understand requirements, translate customer pains/needs into a value-added solution proposal, monitor the follow-up of quotation and revise if necessary. Negotiate with customers and/or agents on the released quotation and close a deal. Conduct demonstrations, attends seminars and exhibitions; promote professional image of Malvern Panalytical at all times. CRM system maintenance; register conducted customer related activities with the appropriate tools and communicate status towards all parties involved so information can be used for adequate forecasting. Work well within the UK team and contribute to the sector team effort to grow the global business.

What do you need to be successful in this role?


You are a commercially savvy individual with a high sense of urgency who is willing to go the extra mile. You have excellent verbal, listening, and questioning skills. You have a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or higher; or equivalent combination of education and experience in general Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Pharmaceutical Sciences and/or Materials Science. Solid track record in sales in a B2B business environment (preferably in the Pharmaceutical or

food industries) with demonstrable growth.


Two to four years related sales/applications experience and/or training. Fluent in both written and spoken English.

Self-motivation and ambition to grow in the role Wide knowledge and understanding of academia, Contract analysis business and industrial equipment. A full understanding of the technologies offered by Malvern Panalytical and relate them to the proposed applications of potential customers.
