VP, Real Estate & Facilities Management

Job Description:


Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the VP of Real Estate & Facilities Management will be responsible for partnering with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Production to build the capabilities to deliver products to the market. S/He will implement a vision for the growth and sustenance of facilities and the safe operation within them. The successful candidate will oversee facility advanced planning, strategic analysis, site selection, permitting, design and commissioning, maintenance, equipment upkeep and monitoring and EHS program implementation. The team at our client is composed of scientists, engineers, and associates doing novel research and development, which, when combined with efforts in Assay, Mass Spectrometry, and Data Science across the company, create the core technology. The Operations group is focused on building the operating environment that enables discovering, developing, scaling and manufacturing novel nanomaterials and other reagents for use in the company's platform. As the company continues to grow, the emphasis will be to build a team to ensure a high performing operating environment.
Required Experience:



Complete the build out and lead the Real Estate, Facilities & EHS function to achieve corporate goals while keeping in compliance with policies and regulations. Build and implement facility development plans that ensure sufficiency, flexibility, reliability, and cost efficiency. Manage the real estate portfolio, including negotiating and executing new lease agreements, modifications to existing leases, and managing renewal options and lease terminations. Establish and direct programs that ensure environmental health, life safety, regulatory compliance, security, and continuity. Lead facility design projects to meet growing and evolving research and development with cGMP grade production needs. Champion of critical infrastructure and proven responsiveness with facility and equipment needs. Implement managerial functions including goals, reviews, development, and annual planning. Build systems to enable transparent oversight including KPIs, dashboards, and ERP integrations. Work closely with the management team, to develop a compelling, overall strategic vision, evaluate alternative strategies, capitalize on core strengths, and implement operating plans to achieve objectives for growth. Provide hands on operations expertise for the current environment and scale for the future. Accountable for the financial management and reporting requirements for Facilities & EHS, including long range planning and budget management.
