Systems Analyst

Description:This Lockheed Martin Enterprise Operations (EO) IT Program Asc Mgr position will support the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) programs including the Lockheed Martin Solar and Astrophysics Lab (LMSAL). The ATC are the research labs for Lockheed Martin Space and create foundational technologies that inspire, protect and connect our world. Our history goes back to 1956, founded in Palo Alto, California, helping seed what would become Silicon Valley. Today, we still carry on the legacy that started our labs, like the very beginnings of solar science and rocket technology (even underwater). We continue to evolve and lead the way in new realms, like lasers, nanomaterials and informatics. At the ATC, we’re driving change in our endless pursuit of what’s next.
This position will be on staff within the Space CIO Program Management Office (PMO) to effectively coordinate, integrate, and influence IT decisions which deliver on program objectives. This position has the responsibility, accountability, and authority to lead and execute ATC IT strategy, ensuring solutions and operational services are cost effectively developed and delivered to meet program requirements. It provides management interface between the Civil Commercial Space (CCS) IT Partner and the ATC programs.
The position performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, along with cost, risk, and support assessments, and performs effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. The position ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Provide technical oversight and management of Program specific IT projects and Infrastructure. Lead talented Advanced Technology Center IT team .Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.Provide input to budget plans and new proposals. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts, in the field.
General knowledge of other related disciplines
Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Performs Advanced Technology Center IT System Engineering Activities as required. Assure Internal IT Process (IITP) Compliance Assure compliance in the design of IT systems with LM security policies for protection of Export Controlled Information. Prepare for and facilitate System Requirements Review (SRR), System Design Review (SDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), and Operational Readiness Review (ORR). Coordinate with Space enterprise program where applicable. Works under only general direction. Basic Qualifications:
