About the role:



The Quality Control Technician conducts standard laboratory tests and routine experiments requiring the use of well-established procedures, with some understanding of related principles. These tests may be in support of a product release, equipment qualification or validation, process improvements, product transfers or other site initiatives. We look for you to prepare reports and recommend solutions to technical problems. You will work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature.


There is a strong possibility that this position will be working 2nd shift (aka swing shift) hours.

What you’ll be doing:



Performing specified testing of intermediates and finished goods submitted to the laboratory for analysis to determine the acceptability of the material/product. Reviewing test data to ensure results meet all specifications and input data (as applicable). Implementing and revising standard operating procedures (SOPs). Identifying areas of workflow or procedure inefficiencies, proposing solutions to increase efficiency. Working closely with the Laboratory Supervisor to review technical problems, suggesting solutions and able to anticipate major problems to key operations. Using discretion to direct workflow by coordinating laboratory testing assignments and duties. Training new personnel as per established procedures.

What we’re looking for:



Minimum of 3+ years of directly related laboratory experience. Proficiency in laboratory analytical techniques. Knowledge and understanding of pertinent quality system regulations/requirements (i.e. ISO 9001) Analytical thinker, adept at creative problem solving.


Other qualities we’d love for you to have:



Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline. Experience with the following methods: BET - vapor sorption analyzer, pycnometry, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), particle size distribution. Ability to work in teams to obtain results by effectively completing assignments with minimal supervision. Motivated, detail oriented, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Must possess the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and multi-task projects. Self starter. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a team player Startup experience.
