About the role


The Senior Chemical Process Engineer is responsible to support the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of new battery materials’ processing equipment. This individual will also log and analyze key process data and use this data to evaluate process stability and suggest/support process improvement efforts. .



What you’ll be doing:


Carry out process development studies towards scale up and commercialization of materials Assist in design, construction, and commissioning of process equipment Work with the R&D team to develop solutions to problems and improving production throughput, cost, product quality and process safety. Collect and evaluate data in order to plan experiments to modify and improve processes. Develop and contribute manufacturing best practices as well as assist in manufacturing database design/management. Collaborate with Research & Development to ensure the manufacturability of new products and processes. Collaborate with the maintenance/facilities personnel to improve equipment reliability Resolve technical issues with equipment and processes to keep the production online

What we are looking for:


Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent MUST HAVE industrial engineering experience Experience in materials production and/or chemical processing (preferred). Experience with thermal processing equipment Experience with bulk powders processing Excellent communication skills Demonstrated organizational skills

Other qualities we'd love for you to have:


Industrial experience in chemical processing Prior experience at start-up companies Six-sigma certification or documented training.
