About the Role:


We are looking for a Chemical Engineer/Electrochemist who will be responsible for leading the technical innovation and continuous improvement effort in the mineral hydrosol and supporting technology. The ideal candidate will bring superb technical, research, and analytical capabilities in electrochemistry processes with a demonstrated ability to carry projects across the finish line.


The Scope of this Role:


The list below represents the main highlights of the position. This list is not exhaustive, additional tasks might be added based on department and/or strategic development’s needs.


Plan and conduct comprehensive DOEs within an R&D group to advance the mineral hydrosol technology Process improvement for the legacy technology and develop next generation technology Study process/equipment/materials/chemistry interactions Design, build and test prototype systems for pilot scale production Technology transfer from R&D to production Work with vendors to source subsystems and components Navigate the need for customization

Ideal Candidate will have:


Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Materials Engineering or similar fields 3-5 years industry or academic experience in basic or applied research or product development in electrochemistry or chemical processing Entrepreneurial and creative thinking with a balance of methodical approaches to problem solving Ability to leverage external resources such as third-party labs, equipment vendors, subject matter expert consultants and solution providers Proven technical leadership skills; self-initiative, leadership, action-oriented by influencing, written and verbal communication skills with the willingness to work independently Likes working with tools and has hands on experience with fabrication, instrumentation and assembly of systems Experience with automated test system software, e.g. LabVIEW Hands-on experience with nanomaterials fabrication and characterization Be comfortable in handling multiple projects simultaneously Work with ambiguity in a fast paced, constantly changing product roadmap environment Project management experience a plus, however that will not be the candidate’s primary function
