About the role:



The Project Manager will have a strong blend of technical and project managerial skills to support its Research & Development operations.


Success in this role not only hinges on excellent communications and project managerial skills, but also experience in battery materials, energy storage systems, and government contracts.



What you’ll be doing:


Managing internal and external projects, specifically projects with funding support from governmental agencies Formulating, organize and monitor inter-connected projects Coordinate cross-project activities Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities Apply change, risk and resource management Assume responsibility for the program’s people and vendors Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI Resolve projects’ higher scope issues Meet all project reporting requirements

What we are looking for:


REQUIRED: BS/BA in Material Science or a relevant field Experience in materials development, lithium-ion battery related experience is highly preferred Proven experience as a Project Manager, and/or project management certification (PMP, MPM) Experience managing projects with funding support from governmental agencies, Department of Energy (DOE) project management experience is highly preferred Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods Proficiency in program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage Outstanding leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication skills to help manage the complex array of partner relationships
