Job Summary


The primary duties of the Research Associate Professor are to plan and conduct research. These include conducting research, supervising graduate and undergraduate students, managing data, preparing article and research proposals, and publishing research.


Essential Functions


The Research Associate Professor’s duties and responsibilities will include: conducting research, supervising graduate and undergraduate students, managing data, preparing article and research proposals, publishing research, and reporting to the PI.


Other important duties and responsibilities for the Research Associate Professor include:


Identifying new resources the group can use to reach their goalsContributing to multiple research projects at onceCommunicating with senior researchers to understand research challenges and potential solutionsMonitoring research studies that are conducted in the groupUpholding ethical guidelines and ensure the successful completion of projects

Required Qualifications


A PhD or Doctorate in Chemical Engineering, Catalysis, or Materials Science and Engineering is required. At least 5 years of post-PhD research experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications


The Research Associate Professor needs several technical skills to succeed in this role. The employee also needs to be good at technical writing and oral presentation; laboratory skills; and materials characterization methods and instruments.
