Plastics: With new technology trends, our plastic additives can be experienced in many everyday items including vinyl, blow-molding bottles, film, rigid containers, PVC plastics, siding, decks and rails, foam pipes and profile formulations, window frames and high-efficiency lubricants.


Industrial intermediates: As the product of a reaction that is beneficial when used as a precursor chemical for another product, industrial intermediates can take on many shapes and forms. Ours are used in home comfort and appliance, building and construction, adhesives and lubricants, and more.


Coatings: Whether it’s a water-based coating or solvent-based coating, a thin film is deposited on materials to enhance specific properties such as enhanced performance, durability, aesthetics, and sustainability.


Silicone businesses: Our silicone-based materials can withstand more demanding applications, from those operating at extreme temperatures, to those under harsh environmental conditions for long periods of time.

About you

The Consumer Solutions business at Dow is looking for a talented, motivated colleague to take on the role of Global Product Stewardship Manager for the Personal Care portfolio!


In this role, you will be instrumental to our EH&S and Sustainability offering to our internal and external partners and will be tasked with propelling our Personal Care business forward into a new science-driven, sustainable future. You will be a partner to our customers and to our internal product safety and commercial functions.


Also, you can complete each of the following tasks:


Responsible for the implementation of the global Product Stewardship Plan for the Personal Care product portfolio


Responsible for the creation of Product Safety literature for the portfolio, including both silicone and organic products


Provides Product Stewardship and regulatory expertise to the Innovation Portfolio, including silicones, organics, and external partnerships in unique, bio-derived technology areas


Initiates and conducts high risk, complicated, cross-business, and/or recurrent Business Risk Reviews (BRRs)


Identifies and interprets public priority issues impacting product and provides guidance to the business


Responsible for management of raw material supplier information and reviews to ensure that our raw materials comply with numerous global regulations including but not limited to regulations around cosmetics and global biodiversity protection protocols


Represents Dow in industry groups and associations


Provide regulatory expertise in Personal Care regulations and REACH support for the portfolio


Designs and delivers regulatory and product stewardship communication and training for key internal and external stakeholders


Responds to escalated and complex customer EH&S inquiries and provides dedicated EH&S support to several customers


Influences business/corporate sustainability goals by engaging with sustainability teams


Holds the level of expertise in product stewardship which is leverageable beyond the region/work group the individual directly supports


Required qualifications:


A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a technical/science related field or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking


Significant experience in Product Stewardship or a similar function in EH&S or Technical Sales & Development


Your preferred qualifications include:


A Master's degree in a technical/science related field is highly preferred


Experience in Personal Care is preferred


Your skills, knowledge, and abilities include:


Strong business and corporate knowledge and strong communication skills


Strong customer focus


Highly capable of independent learning and subsequent teaching on regulatory topics such as nanomaterials, GMO, biodiversity
