Job Description: (This is a grant-funded, non-tenure track position, Continuation of appointment is dependent on funding, job performance, and continued need for the appointment.) WORK LOCATION: School of Renewable Natural Resources, LSU Ag Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana NATURE OF WORK: Postdoctoral Researcher needed for projects using cellulose nanomaterials for composites, fluids and energy storage material. The Postdoctoral Researcher will perform assigned and independent research in the field; assist or lead preparation of peer-reviewed publications; train graduate students; assist with procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies, and complete other job duties as assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: PhD in Material Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, and related field. Applicant must have a strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals, experience with energy storage and other material testing, equipment operation, and data analysis. Experience with outreach of technical material is desirable. Applicant must be able to obtain a Louisiana Driver’s License and drive state vehicles. SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The LSU AgCenter has an attractive benefits package with a wide variety of benefit options.
