Postdoctoral Research Associate

About the role


The UTS Centre for Technology in Water and Wastewater is recruiting for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct research activities in the area of valuable Lithium and Rare Earth Element resource recovery from brine water using highly selective metal-organic framework (MOF) and nanofiltration Your other key responsibilities will include:


Conduct literature reviews to develop up-to-date understanding of the research area Generate high-quality research publications and project reports Develop optimised research protocols and conduct experiments Conduct data analysis to validate hypothesis and experimental outcome Generate research publication outputs


About you


You are self-motivated and have the ability to develop innovative approaches to solving research problems and delivering results to meet project needs. To be successful you will also have:


A PhD Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering Experience conducting chemical and environmental science and engineering lab experiments Experience in collaborating closely in multi-disciplinary environment Demonstrated experience designing novel molecules, characterising and engineering them Extensive experience in organic/inorganic nanomaterial synthesis and characterisation Extensive experience in electrochemical characterisation and membrane application of novel mat

Remuneration & Benefits


Base Salary Range: $82,158 to $100,063 pa (Level A)


This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.


The positions are full-time and will be made on a fixed-term basis for 18 months.
