JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Forge Nano's Analytical Team comprises both Quality Control and Battery Fabrication Lab activities. The Analytical Lab Technician position involves working closely with other team members and other departments to assist in the development and scale-up of coating processes. This work involves processing materials as well as chemical and physical analysis. It requires application of the knowledge, principles and practices of chemistry and other scientific and engineering disciplines.
Essential Functions
Follows all SOPs regarding safety, proper PPE, equipment operations, lab procedures and sample processing. Keeps equipment operating by following standard operating procedures; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; request service call for repairs. Documents information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books. Provides assistance in various functions of laboratory. Maintains a clean an organized workspace, including: picking-up, cleaning, washing, and distributing of glassware and other lab utensils. Keeps laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock; requesting orders; verifying receipt. Updates and maintains laboratory notebooks to ensure conformance to test procedures and specifications. Formulates, documents, and maintains quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives. Conducts thorough analysis of work and data entry before reporting results Establishes sample standards and performs necessary calibrations Performs special investigations requested by customers and corporate office and reviews report before issue. Provides technical support to multiple lab spaces departments. Participates in weekly meetings to discuss results, updates, troubleshooting, and receive feedback.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work within a laboratory environment and will be in proximity of chemicals, moving mechanical parts and vibrations. Donning proper PPE will be required.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Day shift.
Travel
No overnight travel is anticipated for this position. Some occasional local day travel may be necessary.
Required Education and Experience
B.S. degree or equivalent experience/education combination in a physical science. At least 1 year of chemistry laboratory experience academic or industry
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience as a technician in a wet chemical laboratory. Experience with thermogravimetric analysis. Experience with physisorption and chemisorption measurements. Familiarity with MS Office, especially EXCEL.

Compensation
Salary: $50k - $55k based on experience Medical/dental/vision/disability and life insurance, holidays, PTO, Flexible Spending Account, and 401(k) plan.
