Job Summary
Oversees the procedural matters related to an ongoing project in an assigned area. Provides administrative support to senior department personnel.
Responsibilities
1. Provides pre and post award management of grant projects ensuring compliance with proscribed budget perimeters
2. Processes all lab orders ensuring expenses are appropriately charged
3. Maintains budget records, such as reconciling accounts and preparing expenditure statements
4. Assists in the preparation of grant proposals, research materials and outreach publications
5. Assists with the implementation of department and University policies and procedures
6. Provides administrative support to upper level department management by scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings and conferences and maintaining and ordering office supplies.

Minimum Qualifications
Six years related experience or equivalency (1 year of college education is equivalent to 2 years of related work experience). Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.

Preferences
Bachelor’s degree in a related area is preferred.
Preferences will be given to a candidate with the University of Utah administrative experience with PeopleSoft Management Reports and Human Resources database.
