Optics Process Development Engineer

Job Summary: This Engineer is responsible for all aspects of NIL area development including: NIL tool and process development, optimization and upgrades, as well as NIL master management and NIL stamp making and stamp making equipment including the associated wet station etc.. This Engineer will also own driving NIL defect reduction across these tools and processes.


Essential Functions:


Own, Develop and Sustain processes and recipes for NIL and Stamp Making tools. Ensure proper process development and characterization techniques, including product manufacturability, quality, and reliability, prior to implementing processes and products into production. Drive improvements in defectivity levels across the entire NIL process. Responsible for designing and implementing process adjustments in development of new processes & products. Provide operating procedures, control plans, FMEA's and other controlled documents. Ensure projects are maintained to schedule, and completed on time. Sustain Safety Protocols.

Education and Experience:


Education: B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or equivalent work experience. 3-5 years Engineering/Manufacturing Experience in Semiconductor manufacturing; theoretical and applicable knowledge of Cleans, Lithography; Specifically NanoImprint Lithography is a plus. Proficient with the core Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power-point, Project, etc.). Proficient in JMP, scripting.

Working knowledge of semiconductor processing methods, systems and equipment. Ability to assess situations/issues, identify problems, develop and implement solutions. A team player who understands the importance of the team as a whole and actively drives communication and coordination within the team. Comfortable with hands on work requiring great attention to detail, precision and with highly delicate and/or expensive components Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form in English Hands on Experience with Nano Imprint Lithography processes; Master surface preparation, Stamp creation, NIL Imprint tooling, process and defect monitoring is a plus.
