About Us:
Tundra Brewing located in Fairbanks, AK and is a family-owned licensed cannabis beverage manufacturing facility which opened for business in December of 2020 and is currently distributing products throughout the state of Alaska. We are looking for a person who will bring skills, creativity, and a passion for brewing and developing nano emulsified cannabis distillate oil beverages who is ready to start in January 2022.
Role Profile:
The Brewer is responsible for all aspects of beverage production and packaging. The Brewer would be in a leadership role brewing beverages and overseeing the packaging team, while working with the general manager on creating and developing concepts and recipes.
Responsibilities:
This supervisory position which requires brewing knowledge and experience and will include duties that cover the production of high-quality botanical and essential oil-based cannabis beverages from start to finish. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be a team player. Requirements and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the planning and execution of producing beverages within our current profile, while meeting existing quality standards and expectations. Develop new and innovative experimental products for regular release, which includes utilizing; a vast array of wild hand gathered botanicals, quality commercially sourced fruit purees and concentrates, , a variety of secondary raw ingredients. Responsible for the efficiency of production, quality and consistency of the product being produced,
and the safety of the production staff.
Responsible for the maintenance of equipment and production side of the facility. Work collaboratively with senior management to develop, implement, and maintain
SOP’s and QA/QC expectations.
Responsible for all necessary record keeping. Develop, maintain, and nurture a positive work environment. Responsible for maintaining a disciplined environment and implement practices that promote safety,
quality and productivity.
Responsible for production management, tank and keg washing, and equipment CIP. Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards of the facility, equipment, and team.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills/Knowledge Education:
High school or equivalent, College Diploma or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
2+ years of professional brewery experience and commercial wort production. Brewing specific experience. Essential oil and cannabis distillate oil emulsification, general lab experience is preferred.

Physical requirements:
Complete understanding of the brewing process Ability to lift 50+ pounds A positive attitude Collaborate on recipe formulation with ownership Comfortable representing Tundra Brewing in a social environment Reliable transportation to travel to work, festivals, events, industry events
Compensation:
Compensation will be based on experience. We are able to help with relocation and temporary housing. The ideal candidate will start as an assistant cannabis beverage brewer and will work into the Head Brewer position as they gain experience and knowledge of Tundra Brewing’s protocols.
