Quality and Reliability Nanoprobing Engineer

Job Description


The Technology Development Quality & Reliability FAFI team is looking for an innovative and ambitious addition as a Nanoprobing Engineer (NPE).


Not quite sure what FAFI is? You can think of FAFI (Failure Analysis and Fault Isolation) as the forensic team of Intel.


What is required of a member of the FAFI team? The FAFI team is unique in the sense that our knowledge needs to span across the entirety of our products.


Everything from the circuit design to the semiconductor processing flow.


As a Nanoprobing Engineer you will be responsible for but not limited to: Identifying and isolating reliability defects on next-generation CMOS technologies while utilizing state-of-the-art nano probing tools. The tasks range from complex cell-level validation probing to transistor device characterization. Each failing unit comes with different challenges, which is where innovative problem solvers are needed.


There are two openings, both require one weekend day coverage.


The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:


Verbal and written communication skills Skilled to work either independently or in a team environment. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to debug when results go unexpectedly wrong.


Qualifications



You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.


This is an entry-level position and will be compensated accordingly.


Minimum Qualifications:


Candidate must possess a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field of study. 1+ year(s) of relevant experience in Semiconductor Device physics and Electronic Circuits.

Preferred Qualifications:


1+ years of experience in electrical characterization using a semiconductor parameter analyzer. Experience in one or more of the following subjects: CMOS semiconductor processing, failure analysis, device engineering digital design. Practical lab experience.
