Failure Analysis TD Engineer

Job Description


This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.



Intel Corporation, a world leader in semiconductor manufacturing, is looking for a motivated self-starter with previous Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) experience who has a strong desire to work in an industrial analytical laboratory.


We are a team of analysts supporting Intel's most advanced electronic packaging technology development. We are seeking an engineer with previous ToF-SIMS experience and interest in materials/surface analysis. In this position, the candidate will be part of the assembly technology development labs in support of advanced electronic assembly manufacturing process development.


Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:



Performing ToF-SIMS and XPS, FTIR, nano IR and Raman spectroscopy analysisProviding direct customer support, participating in safety initiatives, lab sustaining and development, process transfer, tool ownership and training on other techniques Assisting in routine instrument maintenanceFlexibility to work non-traditional hours which may include some evenings or weekend days.

The candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits/skills:


Analyze complex SIMS/Auger/XPS/TOF/TXRF data.Apply fundamental problem solving to electronic packaging manufacturing issues.Communication skills.Organizational and/or prioritization skills. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and successfully interface with peers, engineers, technicians and other analytical groups in a team. environment.


Qualifications



You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.


Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.


Minimum Qualifications:


Must possess a Master's Degree with 6+ months of experience in related field or PHD degree with 1+ years’ experience in related field. Experience operating UHV-based analytical equipment including ToF-SIMS, Auger/XPS, dynamic SIMS.

Must have the required degree or expect the required degree by Sep 2022.
