DC Power Technician

Position Summary Alamon Inc. is looking to employ hard-working and experienced DC Power Technician to perform all duties pertaining to the installation and general upkeep of customers’ telecommunications systems. We are hiring for a DC Power Tech with experience working in central offices installing systems that can include Galaxy 4848, Galaxy Millennium Controllers, Vertiv Power Systems, Eltek Power Systems, Wet/VRLA Battery replacements, Adtran, Ciena, Coriant, Nano, Fujitsu, Calix, and Nokia. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who provides high-quality workmanship and has excellent customer service skills both in person and over the phone and is able to multitask under pressure. A company vehicle will be provided. This job requires extensive travel throughout, OR. WA. ID. MT. Wage will be paid depending on experience. Essential Job Functions Write MOP's and DMOP's and process all associated paperwork that is required for the job. Read and interpret floor plans, rack drawings, and customer-provided work orders. Work effectively with engineers, technicians, and customers Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications: Email, Excel, Word Communicate effectively, including proficiency in written and verbal communications, with strong listening skills Excellent time-management skills and multitasking abilities Minimum Position Qualifications Trade school or equivalent experience Must have knowledge of the Frontier and Lumen practices, Ziply Fiber a plus. Need to be able to climb ladders and lift at least 50 lbs. Must be proficient with splicing fiber and the knowledge of loose tube and ribbon splicing. Must have a working knowledge of Installing Ironwork and earthquake bracing and be proficient in using power tools to complete the installs Must have DC Power knowledge and be able to install and perform hot cuts as needed. Extensive understanding of hand tools, test equipment, and ability to use a computer to interface with customer products Work Environment Work environment is partially an environmentally controlled indoor environment. The Employee may be subjected to noise levels which may range from low volume to loud and will be required to wear provided safety hearing devices from time to time.
