Position Summary Alamon Inc. is looking to employ hard-working and experienced telecommunications technicians to perform all duties pertaining to central office installations. We are hiring for a Level 4 Technician with experience working in central offices installing systems that can include ADTRAN, ASR, CIENA, Coriant, Nano, Fujitsu, Calix, and Nokia, Galaxy 4848, Galaxy Millennium Controllers, Vertiv Power Systems, Eltek Power Systems, Wet/VRLA Battery replacements. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who provides high-quality workmanship and has excellent customer service skills both in person and over the phone and is able to multitask under pressure. This job requires travel. Wage will be paid depending on experience. Essential Job Functions Write MOP's and DMOP's and process all associated paperwork that is required for the job. Read and interpret floor plans, rack drawings, and customer-provided work orders. Work effectively with engineers, technicians, and customers Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications: Email, Excel, Word Communicate effectively, including proficiency in written and verbal communications, with strong listening skills Excellent time-management skills and multitasking abilities Minimum Position Qualifications Trade school or equivalent experience Must have knowledge of the Lumen practices/ 77350. Need to be able to climb ladders and lift at least 50 lbs. Must be proficient with Fiber cleaning and fiber testing. Must have a working knowledge of Installing Ironwork and earthquake bracing and be proficient in using power tools to complete the installs Must have DC Power knowledge and be able to install and perform hot cuts as needed. Extensive understanding of hand tools, test equipment, and ability to use a computer to interface with customer products Work with customer support to complete basic provisioning Ability to login, commission, fully provision basic transport equipment Verify network and timing connectivity and continuity of various fiber and cable connections. Should also have skills and ability to plan and coordinate high risk activity including identifying equipment, cards, pluggables, fiber cables and circuit IDs, and map out and run new fibers for integration, fiber rolls, hot cuts. Must be efficient with test and turn up. Work Environment Work environment is partially an environmentally controlled indoor environment. The Employee may be subjected to noise levels which may range from low volume to loud and will be required to wear provided safety hearing devices from time to time.
