Optical Integration Engineer, Display Optical Component - PPO Team

In this role, you will lead the investigation on the wafer-level optics and process integration development for novel diffractive optical components in the display field, facing new technical challenges and crafting solutions the world doesn't know of yet. In this position, you will apply your expertise, including but not limited to diffraction optics, wafer-level optics, optics metrology and integration, and collaborate with world-class multi-functional teams and worldwide top suppliers, to innovative manufacturable mass-production solutions for diffractive optical components, and to craft the future of interactive and display technologies. Key Qualifications Proficiency and hands-on experience in wafer-level diffraction optics design, tolerance analysis, manufacturing, and metrology Knowledgeable of diffraction optics or nano-photonics. Familiar with nano-structure optical design/modeling tools including RCWA and FDTD Experience in high-volume manufacturing of nanostructure-based optical components/devices Knowledge of optical devices related characterization methods (Interferometer, Spectrometer, Ellipsometry, etc.) Knowledge of wafer-level optics manufacture process(Litho, Etch, deposition, etc.) Knowledge of nano-structure related characterization methods (XPS, SEM, TEM, AFM, XRD, FT-IR, etc.) Strong ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with multi-functional teams and management Experience in managing domestic and international suppliers, plus the willingness and ability to travel up to 20% Creativity and out-of-box thinking in problem-solving and root cause analysis Description - Take total ownership to drive technologies for optical integration of the novel diffractive optics from early conceptualization exploration to high fidelity prototypes and high volume consumer products delivery - Identify and define manufacturable process metrology solutions for technically complex nano-fabricated optical components to enable new designs and functional requirements - Lead the multi-functional interaction with Product Design, Engineering/Operations, and drive the international suppliers to deliver optics module - Lead root causes analysis and trouble-shooting for failures and component performance improvement - Define Engineering Requirement Specification (ERS) for the optical components IQC, OQC, and IPQC - Provide crisp and rigorous presentation and report to a broad range of stakeholders, including management, peers, and suppliers - Require domestic and international travel for work (up to 20%) Education & Experience MS or Ph.D. in Material Science, Physics, Optics, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or technical equivalent with 3+ years of industrial experience in related fields.
