The Beckman Laser Institute at the University of California, Irvine anticipates openings for postdoctoral scholar positions (Levels 0-IV) for the 2021-22 academic year.
Seeking qualified candidates with experience in the following biomedical engineering fields:
Biomedical photonics/optoelectronics
Biomedical nano- and microscale systems/fabrication
Biomedical computation/modeling
Biomolecular and cellular engineering
Biomaterials
Tissue/regenerative engineering
Neuroengineering
Systems biology
Cardiovascular engineering
These positions require a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, electrical or optical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry, or biology and experience in the field / research areas listed above. Alternatively, candidates can have an M.D. or the foreign equivalent. Candidates should also possess the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team setting and familiarity with biomedical optics concepts is desired.
This is an ongoing recruitment and positions are dependent upon availability of extramural funding. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on job performance and availability of support. Note: Total duration of an individual’s postdoctoral service may not exceed five years, including postdoctoral service at other institutions.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and years of experience.
