The Opportunity:
As a Research Associate II/Senior Research Associate in Internal Pharmacology you will:
Design, conduct, analyze, and report in vivo studies (efficacy, PK/PD). Cary out pre-clinical model development and characterization. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, accurate and timely record-keeping, and data analysis. Learn and conduct other in vivo related techniques. Perform ex-vivo assay for preclinical samples. Interface with cross-functional project team members, and participation in and presentation at project team meetings and cross-departmental team meetings. Formulate and administer drugs and experimental compounds by various routes.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
BS or MS in Biology or Pharmacology related discipline. Research experience with mouse models of cancer and/or cancer immunotherapy. Proficiency with various mouse handling techniques including dosing (IV, PO, subcutaneous, IP), tumor inoculation/measurements, in life and terminal blood collection, collection, and handling of tissues during necropsy and processing for ex vivo Computer literacy, especially proficiency with GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with in-vivo imaging and study log will be a plus. Experience with sterile tissue culture, molecular and basic cellular biology techniques such as ELISA, FACS, WESTERN BLOT, NANO STRING, and PCR preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. The ability to work independently on day-to-day responsibilities and research goals.
