Overview of North America (NA) Marketing + Communications


The North America Marketing + Communications team shapes and activates marketing and communications strategies across the marketing lifecycle that fuel growth for Accenture’s $20B+ North American market (United States and Canada). Its cross-functional team drives category brand positioning in the North American market, curates end-to-end client experiences to drive the local growth agenda, empowers and positions Accenture’s leaders, and engages and inspires the company’s North American people, recruits and alumni. It positions Accenture in the heart of local innovation, business and technology communities and champions programs for equality, inclusion and diversity within Accenture North America and the communities it serves.

YOUR ROLE:


Working as part of the Technology Innovation Marketing + Communications team, this position will be responsible for external and internal communications and activities that support the business priorities of Accenture Labs and Accenture Technology, and demonstrate our brand promise. This will include developing and executing executive, program and employee communications and content.

Key responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Positioning

Develop content strategy, messaging, and speaking platforms related to innovation themes - latest advancements in and business potential of growth priority technologies (AI, cybersecurity, XR, cloud/edge, robotics) and emerging technologies (quantum, neuromorphic, etc.) used across Accenture for client discussions, media and analyst engagements, speaking opps and Tech Innovation campaign

Work with the Marketing and Communications lead to support overall execution of the marketing strategy for Accenture Labs and Tech Innovation.

Collaborate with Tech Innovation marketing team, business and R&D leads to fine-tune a content strategy designed to differentiate Accenture related to tech innovation.



Content Development

Drive the development of market-relevant and differentiated thought leadership, helping to write new content and shape global content. Help proactively identify hot topic areas for content related to tech trends and emerging technologies. Develop messaging and create content including thought leadership, POVs and research, working with GP and industry teams to tailor, ensuring the content is relevant for sales campaigns.

Work collaboratively with the Digital marketing team to develop a.com, portal pages and ensure timely delivery.

Help drive internal and external marketing content and campaigns to evangelize our tech innovation capabilities to key audiences: Technology CALs, clients, industry analysts and our people.



Client Success Stories

Drive industry-specific tech innovation credentials, including client stories and vision demos, in collaboration with GP campaign leads

Become expert in knowing our key engagements across Labs and Tech Innovation, to ensure we are targeting our best client stories for the various channels: credentials, awards, annual and quarterly reports, event marketing and other.

Collaborate with the Global client success team to develop externally approved content. Identify the correct client stories and communicate across the channels within Accenture and externally as appropriate.



Internal Communications

Interpret Tech Innovation priorities to form integrated communication plans for internal audiences, as appropriate.

Direct pipeline of engaging, relevant portal article content.



Launch and event support

Collaborate with local marketing leads to drive successful launch of new Labs and Nano Labs, as needed

Support Accenture presence at key Tech events by preparing abstracts, talk tracks and presentation content for Tech Innovation leaders.

Support Tech Vision Thought Leadership launch as needed.



Basic Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree


Minimum of 12 years’ experience in marketing and communications, including experience in the technology industry; experience in applying marketing concepts; branding and message development skills.


Preferred Qualifications:


Excellent Digital, Social Media and PowerPoint skills.


Professional Skills:


Proven ability to provide deep and original thinking about complex issues and make them easily understood by a broad audience.


Strong written and oral communication skills. The ability to present, write and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at all levels to multiple audiences.


Strong organization, program and time management and content development skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet milestones, meet tight deadlines and communicate status on concurrent projects.


Excellent negotiation, influence, mediation, conflict management and executive stakeholder management skills.


Bold creativity and a passion for new technology trends and the future.


Willingness to learn quickly, take initiative and maintain focus.


Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a virtual, problem-solving environment.


Strong teaming and collaboration skills.


Personal flexibility to work virtually, sometimes in the office (post COVID) or travel where and when required. Willingness to participate in virtual meetings outside of regular business hours to accommodate other time zones.


Sensitivity to the cultural variances across different countries.


Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian


Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian


As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $110,376 - $235,200 and information on benefits offered is here.
