Summary/Objective


Forge Nano Inc, a fast-growing materials company with a focus on manufacturing nano-scale coating equipment across a wide range of markets seeks a Supply Chain Buyer reporting to the Vice President of Operations. This position is responsible for purchasing goods to support operations, engineering and R&D activities. They will own the operational planning processes, order intake, develop supplier relationships to reduce piece price cost and manage inventory. An ideal candidate emphasizes the Forge Nano culture of teamwork, collaboration, and proactive problem solving.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities


Determine the purchasing needs of the organization by facilitating a monthly sales and operations planning session Forecast demand and evaluate inventory levels Execute orders from across operations, engineering, and R&D Negotiate with vendors to get the best possible pricing and payment options Monitor deliveries and any past due shipments to ensure on-time delivery of parts for build schedules and ensure on-time delivery of equipment Manage inventory with receipt of purchased materials and maintain inventory levels Identify potential cost reduction opportunities and analyze the impact of pricing changes for goods Work with our digital inventory management system Build relationships with suppliers and manage their performance with annual supplier business reviews and any corrective actions

Required Education and Experience


Bachelor's degree with 2+ years' experience in a relevant or analogous industry
OR Technical Associate Degree or equivalent military training with 4+ years' experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, etc. Experience with supplier, B2B purchasing and inventory management Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings such as P&IDs, 2D Drawings, and Electrical Schematics

Preferred Skills and Experience


Experience in supply chain management Experienced in project-based industrial assembly Diligent organizational and documentation skills Ability to prioritize and execute tasks with stringent deadlines Experience with inventory management or ERP/MRP systems

Work Environment

Work is primarily conducted at our headquarters in Thornton, CO for order intake, with limited work conducted remotely. Forge Nano puts safety and employee environment first. Strict adherence to corporate and/or facility policies, rules and regulations in these areas is required. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on-site.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

The employee will need to be able to sort small parts and boxed items. They will interface with the assembly technicians regularly. Majority of work will be working with suppliers by email, phone, and video conference. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position; move. Transporting and positioning of containers upwards of 50lbs will be required periodically.


Travel

Travel is rare for this position.


Compensation


Salaried $56k-70k, compensation depending on experience. Medical/dental/vision/disability and life insurance, holidays, PTO, Flexible Spending Account, and 401(k) plan.
