Business Development/Product Manager, Optical Devices (B4)

We are actively recruiting a Business Development and Product Manager for Optics Products within our Engineered Optics group. Engineered Optics is a rapidly growing business within Applied Materials. We are harnessing the power of Applied Material’s world-leading material science and nano-fabrication capabilities to enable the next generation of AR displays. The purpose of the Business Development and Product Manager role is to develop deep customer engagements for our optical products that result in profitable, long-term commercial relationships. Key Responsibilities Technical sales, field marketing and customer advocacy Manage existing customer account, and onboard new customers by introducing new customers to the system, execute quotes, and invoices Maintain customer relationships, owning critical elements of joint developments, and identifying and nurturing new business opportunities Coordinate customer project plans and SOWs, in tight collaboration with engineering Manage priorities within owned customer projects Team with Engineering, Technical Project Management, Product Marketing, Manufacturing, and Order Management Scope and execute JDA's Ensure customer satisfaction and execution to our commitments Shape customer roadmaps, agree on pricing and configurations Functional Knowledge Experienced with development of optical products Experience in managing multiple customer projects with engineering teams Salesforce CRM experience is a plus Business Expertise Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services Leadership May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity Problem Solving Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions Impact Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by functional policies Interpersonal Skills Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view #LI Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree: Physics, Master's Degree: Business Administration Skills Certifications: Languages: Years of Experience: 4 - 7 Years Work Experience: Additional Information Travel: Yes, 20% of the Time Relocation Eligible: Yes Applied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
