Fixed Hybrid Technician III

Our team is growing, and we are hiring a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Twin Cities Dental Lab in Falcon Heights, Minnesota for a Fixed Hybrid Technician III.


The regular hours for this position are from 8:30AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:


Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist. Assist customer’s chairside as needed, to include traditional all on four cases and Nsequence cases. Maintain advanced knowledge of implants and implant systems used in fabrication of Fixed Hybrid appliances to assist clinicians in case planning and case evaluations. Understand and perform fabrication process for acrylic, zirconia and nano ceramic fixed hybrid appliance. Including all steps of the process for acrylic, assembly, characterization and staining of Zir and Nano arches. Perform incoming, in process and final QC n all appliances. Order and maintain inventory for all required implant and fixed hybrid components. Work closely with and provide support to Removable Manager for of all aspects and functions in the Removable Department. Work with CAD/CAM department to provide technical support to digital fabrication of appliances Remove excess acrylic flash using burs and or cutting wheels Remove excess acrylic from metal areas of partial dentures and from teeth Add final anatomy to present an aesthetic appearance and good function Seat back to models to check for correct fit, adjust if necessary. If need to have partial clasps adjusted for correct fit, take to the appropriate person Repair any areas of the acrylic that have holes, porosity, or scarring using cold cure acrylic technique Final polish using pumice and high shine materials Maintain a clean work area All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Required:


Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity Must be skilled in one or more tasks associated with a Removables Dental Technician Detail oriented

Minimum Education and Experience Required:


High school diploma or GED equivalent Must have 5 years’ experience as a Removables Finishing Technician

Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:


Small machinery Hand-pieces Chemicals

Physical Requirements:


Ability to sit for extended periods of time
