OVERALL DESCRIPTION


Join an elite team utilizing quantum technologies to develop solutions for the nation’s most challenging sensor-based problems. We seek someone with a graduate degree or Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with expertise in experimental quantum sensors, atomic sensors, and a broad base in quantum information to conduct research and advise the federal government on a broad range of quantum technologies. The successful candidate will join MITRE's Quantum Technologies Group in McLean, Virginia or Princeton, New Jersey.


Responsibilities include:


Perform cutting-edge experimental work in exotic sensors including atomic and other quantum sensors Advise government sponsors as to the potential capabilities of quantum technologies Explore other scientific areas within the physical sciences that are of interest to MITRE and its sponsors

Basic Qualifications:


BS degree and 5 years related experience Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.

Required Qualifications:


Graduate degree in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related fields Expertise in atomic or other quantum sensor technologies Broad knowledge base in quantum technologies including computation and communications Good communicator Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:


Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with expertise in experimental quantum sensors, atomic sensors, and a broad knowledge base in quantum technologies. Atomic sensors Quantum sensors and Quantum Information

Familiarity with one or more of the following:


Quantum materials Nano and other exotic sensor technologies
