Audit Manager

Lead NPSG projects with a focus on PCAOB and technology initiatives, provide technical assistance, create and maintain policies, tools, guidance, and training materials for the firm's audit and attest practice. Assist others with projects, write CPE course materials and perform other special projects as assigned.
Essential Duties:


Lead NPSG projects and initiatives with a focus on PCAOB initiatives Assist with the maintenance of the firm's audit and attest manuals and creation of tools and guidance for the assurance practice that promote both quality and efficiency initiatives Lead project planning and execution for the implementation of new auditing standards and firm policies Assist with the development of training (e.g., drafting the conceptual design, learning objectives, course materials, case studies) and practice aids by serving as content author or technical reviewer Facilitate nationally sponsored training, such as in-person courses, webcasts, self-studies, and nano learning programs May act as an industry team liaison to support the development of industry-specific policies, tools and guidance Provide technical assistance to audit teams and others in NPSG Assist with thought leadership initiatives, such as performing initial research on topics and drafting articles for the audit practice or, in some cases, firm-wide distribution Participate in external outreach activities (e.g., participating in task forces and councils, supporting NPSG members on standards-setting committees, drafting comment letters) May serve as Career Advisor for up to four advisees

Qualifications:


Minimum of six years of experience in public accounting including at Manager level Interest in automation, technology and innovation (software or coding experience preferred but not required) Strong project management skills Strong oral and written communications skills High achiever and desire for excellence Thirst for knowledge and passion for sharing new ideas Ability to work productively and take initiative without direct oversight Collaborative team player Strong attention to detail

Special Requirements Specific to Job:


Working knowledge of the technology tools required within assigned responsibilities including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and CaseWare Strong organization and time management skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Travel for firm or department meetings and working sessions
