Program Scheduler

Tyvak Nano-Satellite Systems Inc., a Terran Orbital company, is seeking a motivated, experienced, and highly organized project scheduler to develop, integrate, and maintain project schedules across our satellite and technology programs at our Irvine, CA location. Tyvak is a leading worldwide provider of nanosatellite and microsatellite vehicles, services, and solutions to Commercial and Government customers. As a Program Scheduler, the candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, managers, and other stakeholders to maintain and status execution of projects and prepare performance evaluation reports.


Requirements


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:


Consulting with project managers, technical experts and third-party program management to integrate multiple parallel program dependent initiatives, set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks. Identifying critical path elements and solutions Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders Monitoring project timelines and deadlines Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timeous manner. Evaluating performance and preparing project progress reports. Developing metrics and performance calculations using project schedule metrics and inputs Accommodating updates and changes to project schedules Holding regular meetings with stakeholders to receive schedule inputs and monitor progress and identify development barriers Recommending actions to keep projects within budget and completed on time. Developing schedule management processes and guidelines for internal team members including MS Project change control and updating rules Keeping stakeholders informed of project timelines and deadlines Documenting project scheduling processes and maintaining records

QUALIFICATIONS:


5+ years of experience as a project/program planner/scheduler Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, management, or related discipline Familiar with Earned Value Management reporting and metrics Proven track record of maintaining project schedules and providing performance reports through the project life-cycle

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:


Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, management, or related discipline Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP) Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software, such as MS Project, Primavera, Procore or industry equivalent Extensive experience in schedule planning and management Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes Aerospace industry experience or equivalent experience developing and maintaining project schedules for advanced technology efforts Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills Exceptional communication skills with multiple engineering disciplines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


This is largely a sedentary role with heavy computer usage. Position may require incumbent to move files, open filing cabinets and bend/stand as necessary.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:


This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
